Switzerland
This is a beautiful and pastoral area of Switzerland at the end of a valley surrounded by the Alps. We saw a farmer leading his dairy herd down the road to the milking barn...a sight I have not seen since I was five. Today I walked by myself (Susan was shopping with the ladies) along a stream for two hours to the little town of Lautterbrennan. All the goats, sheep and cows had bells. The sun on the Alps was spectacular. It really does not get much better than today...very peaceful. Tomorrow we leave for France for 11 days, then onto Spain for 12 more. The trip has been wonderful...so many memories of beautiful places. We appreciate your comments. Susan has the camera today. We will download more pictures soon.

I have always had problems with France because of DeGaulle and his disdain for the very people who saved his butt.
But, each time I get near, I try to put that behind me because on the mainland of Europe, it's just hard to get past what a wonderful country is France.
Donna and I spent 2 nights in Paris and loved it. Actually, everywhere I've been in France is wonderful.
I really hope you enjoy your 11 days in France. I would love to spend at least that much time there and probably more.
There is so much to see.
