Malaga

We are at our time share near Malaga. It took us three hours to find our condo because we kept getting lost. We would stop and ask directions. The people spoke Spanish, we would point at the map and with gestures we were able to find our way (road construction did not help). At one point we were headed east along the coast which was the opposite direction. I came close to a melt down--anxiety, hypertension, headache, irritability, temper rising, angry sounding voice...family members and students get the idea. I realized that I like being in control and being lost means that the Fates are in control. I knew there was a reason we took the Trafalgar and Rick Steves tours. This area is beautiful and looks very much like California. We know why the Spanish settled Southern California--they thought they were home. We will visit La Alhambra in Granada and also Gibraltar Tuesday and Wednesday. The rest of the week we will rest by the pool and by the beach.

Hi. It's Monday, Oct. 20. I thought I was posting a comment to your most recent picture, but its back on the Madrid one. Pre senior moment. Sorry you were lost in Spain trying to find your condo. Pretty amazing you two have managed to travel around so much on your own like that and navigate to very well. Takes courage and spunk to do that. PS Maybe you needed some high school Spanish. Ha.
