Derry to Killarney
We have visited the Belleek factory, William Butler Yeats' grave site, Drumcliffe, Castlebar, and stopped at Kylemore Abbey. This is a beautiful country. Galway is a place not to be missed. We had a medieval dinner in a castle built in the 1500's. You do not want to have consumed too much mead before climbing the stairs in the towers. Bunratty Castle and the village were very interesting. The castle has the greatest collection on medieval furniture in Ireland. Limerick was originally a Vicking settlement on the River Shannon. The village of Adare is worth the stop. Many houses have thatched roofs. Killarney is a tourist town. Susan loves the shop. I find the road signs interesting: "Traffic Calming," "Speeding up to 4 Penalty Points, "Give Way." Susan shocked everyone when she made the mistake of saying she had only had corned beef in the can. The outcry was tremendous.

Hey guys, as Jack would say. It's really nice to hear from you two so often. Keep them coming. I'm getting excited to be there, having trouble sleeping and that's not good. Bill and i were with the kids in Oly. today and ran into Jeanne with Fisher at Costco. She wondered why we were still here. Fisher looks great, sleeping, chubby and happy. I'm off to bed, much too long a day on little sleep. Talk later, Judy C.
